The Spenard Art Studio project was an adaptive reuse of a small office building, converting it into a teaching art studio for encaustics and a rental suite. The clients wanted a unique and modern exterior. Icefall Architecture designed custom fabricated panels inspired by tempering colors of steel and reminiscent of encaustic paintings. The interior design of the studio is flexible, allowing the central teaching studio to be easily converted into an exhibition space for hosting gallery shows.

The goal of West Dimond Retail was to create a boutique that is visually open on its exterior to capture attention from the street, with a completely private central portion of the store. Icefall designed a custom casework system, with integrated lighting, encircling the inner sanctum of the boutique. Frosted glass panels on alternate sides of the display shelves allow light to infiltrate the space, while simultaneously obstructing visibility.
