Anchorage Museum Transit Station

AIA Honor Award 2010

Marina was a Project Architect on this project, having worked with MOA Public Transportation Department (PTD) and Anchorage Museum. The custom-designed bus stop met both the Federal Transit Administration regulations and stake-holder’s goals for an accessible, safe, and low-maintenance station. The bus shelter aesthetically complements the new Museum addition, referencing the mirror-fritted glass stripes of the museum facade with vertical linearity and transparency. The steel members are spaced to function as a wind screen.
